Beyond The Still
This is a Canon/Vimeo contest I’ve been following for a few months now since it’s 1st inception I’ve be intrigued by it’s very nature. The idea is this, the 1st video made for the contest “Beyond The Still” was based on a still image. You can watch that video here: “The Cabbie”
So at the end of that video there is another still and they asked everyone to interpret that still into the next chapter in the series. Here’s the next one that one chapter 2: “Job Security”
To be completely honest I haven’t tried one yet because I’ve been waiting for a good still to interpret and haven’t found one I liked yet. Until now. The contest has chosen a Chapter 3 winner, here is the most recent video: “The Beach”
Everything I’ve seen so far has been mediocre at best. They’ve got good lighting and good angles but no ideas to move the plot forward. I dunno, it just seems like they’re not doing anything new. I want to make one that will blow everyone else away, who’s with me?
